Axon Set to Break PS1.8 Million Sales Barrier

Revised business model results in 62.8% growth for Macclesfield IT provider.

Macclesfield, Cheshire (PRWEB UK) 17 December 2013

Macclesfield based IT solutions firm Axon has today predicted a 62.8% sales increase based on the first six months of trading, taking revenues from £1,136,132 in 2012 - 2013 to a projected £1,850,000 for 2013 – 2014. This growth comes on the back of a change of direction for the company which adapted its business model to become a specialist in cloud computing and virtual solutions in 2010.

Axon’s customer base increased by 100% and staffing levels by a third in 2013, a year which also saw the business undergo a full rebrand and £100,000 investment in a relocation to larger premises in Macclesfield increasing office space from 800 to 2500 square foot.

The company was also awarded Best Use of Technology in Business last month at the Cheshire Silk 106.9 Local Hero Awards.

Graham Fern, technical director and co-owner of Axon commented: “Upon making the decision to become a cloud specialist we retrained all of our engineers and sales staff to become experts in cloud solutions – including both Microsoft’s cloud offering - Office 365 - and our own bespoke virtual solutions.

“In January 2011 we became the first business in the North West to be awarded Microsoft Gold Partner status with virtualisation competency, followed in July 2011 by the title of Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Partner, meaning we were first company in the region to be endorsed by Microsoft as a cloud specialist. It’s rewarding to see all of these efforts now paying off.”

Tim Mears, managing director for Axon added: “We believe that technology is changing. Cloud computing helps future-proof businesses and our customers benefit fully from our expertise in this area. We embrace the latest technology to enable our clients to work better, while providing an environment that people want to come to do business – on both a client and employee level.”

Axon was founded by Graham Fern and Mike Agutter in 2001 with a limited budget and zero investment, with managing director Tim Mears joining the team in 2012. Based in Macclesfield, Cheshire, Axon provides IT services including cloud computing, telecoms, IT support and connectivity to businesses across the North West.
