On Thursday, October 29, 2015, Robert Morris University Illinois’ School of Business Administration honored Springfield resident David J. Robinson as the RMU Business Leader of the Year.
Each year RMU recognizes an individual who supports the mission of the University and the School of Business Administration. That individual offers outstanding, direct experiences and opportunities for RMU students and exemplifies effective communication and relationship building.
The awards dinner took place at Eyrie in Oak Park, a restaurant operated by Robert Morris culinary students who helped prepare and serve the dinner.
David Robinson is the Deputy Director of the Fourth District at the Illinois State’s Attorney’s Appellate Prosecutor’s Office in Springfield. He also teaches legal studies at the RMU Springfield campus and is a member of the School of Business Administration’s Paralegal Advisory Board. He is a US Army combat veteran and Joint Service Commendation Medal recipient. David lives in Springfield with his wife Jennifer and daughter Amelia.
In honoring Mr. Robinson, Dean Larry Nieman expressed appreciation for his work with students outside of the classroom to support career development, internship opportunities and full-time positions in the legal field. “David has gone out of his way to help RMU students succeed in the very competitive field of law,” added Dean Nieman. “His assistance has enabled students to stay motivated, on task and to be prepared for successful careers.”
