EditionGuard's eBook Publishing Platform helps support the mission of prestigious nonprofit educational organization.
(PRWEB) December 30, 2013
EditionGuard announces that its hosted Adobe DRM solution has been chosen by the Great Books Foundation for the organization’s eBook delivery. The Great Books Foundation (GBF) is an independent, nonprofit educational organization that provides opportunities for people of all ages to become more reflective, critical thinkers and readers through Shared Inquiry™ discussion of written works and ideas of enduring value.
GBF uses Magento for its E-commerce site and it welcomes EditionGuard's easy integration with the shopping cart platform. Like other eBook distributors, GBF was required to abide by agreements to digitally protect and securely distribute their selections. Although purchasing the Adobe Content Server software itself could have been a solution, GBF opted for EditionGuard's affordable pay-as-you-go pricing model to access the same powerful content server.
“EditionGuard's pricing model made sense and EditionGuard provides great support,” said Ellen Youniss, GBF’s IT Director. “EditionGuard allows us to sell and distribute our e-books in a convenient, affordable manner. It allows the Foundation to focus on what it does best--publishing books, and we don't have to worry about supporting yet another software platform. It also gives us room to grow as well sell more e-books,” Youniss continued.
EditionGuard is equally pleased to work with the Great Books Foundation. “We're proud to support this nonprofit organization in its mission to empower readers of all ages,” said Turgay Birand, EditionGuard's CEO and founder.
EditionGuard is an affordable hosted eBook DRM (Digital Rights Management) solution for protecting ePub and PDF eBooks from piracy. It leverages the industry standard DRM system Adobe Content Server, the same technology used by the biggest names in the digital publishing sector.
