LinkNow Media Donating Portion of Every Sale to Fort McMurray Fire

Montreal-based web design company LinkNow Media will be donating a portion of every sale made in the next week to victims of the Fort McMurray wildfire.

Montreal, Quebec (PRWEB) May 06, 2016

In response to the devastating wildfire that has forced the evacuation of over 80,000 residents of Fort McMurray, Alberta, LinkNow Media of Montreal will be donating a portion of every sale made until May 13, 2016 to relief efforts.

The wildfire, which began just southwest of Fort McMurray on May 1st, swept through the city on May 3rd, forcing the evacuation of every resident of the city. As of this writing, the fire has not yet been contained and is over 85,000 hectares in size - larger than Alberta's capital city, Edmonton. 88,000 Fort McMurray residents have been displaced, and over 1,600 homes have been reported destroyed so far.

"This fire is the largest, most costly natural disaster in Canadian history," says LinkNow Media's Director of Operations, Ray Boulé. "People from across the country are pitching in to help with donations to the Red Cross and other organizations, and we want to be part of the solution. For the next week, we're going to be donating a portion of every sale we make to the relief effort."

Thousands of former Fort McMurray residents have lost everything they own and are relying on donations of food, water, and shelter. LinkNow Media encourages anyone who has the ability to donate to the Red Cross or one of the many other organizations helping out.
