To highlight the app’s launch, OpenAnesthesia is promoting an online OASelfStudyPLUS Challenge to be held during the ASA 2015 annual meeting in San Diego, October 24-27. Registration for the SelfStudyPLUS 4-day Challenge begins today.

SelfStudyPLUS is a revolutionary new product that allows users to strengthen their knowledge and retention with innovative technology based on pioneering research in education, cognitive psychology and neuroscience.

About the SelfStudyPLUS Challenge

The challenge is open to all resident anesthesiologists and anesthesiologists in practice. Participants do not need to attend ASA 2015 to participate. To participate in the Challenge, participants will register for the app—at no charge—then compete with each other using the app’s Game features. The Challenge will begin at 12 noon PT on October 24 and end at 12 noon on October 27. The overall winner will receive an iPad Air®. Daily winners receive a FitBit Surge ™. *

During the 4-day challenge, participants can track up-to-the minute scores by checking the leaderboard within the app. Leader updates will also be available by liking OpenAnesthesia on Facebook and following them on Twitter .
