Palatine Attorney Nicholas W. Richardson Awards Scholarships

Four area students receive the 3rd Annual Scholarships for College-Bound Chicagoland Powered by the Law Office of Nicholas W. Richardson, P.C

Palatine, IL (PRWEB) May 05, 2016

This month, the 3rd Annual Scholarships for College-Bound Chicagoland Powered by the Law Office of Nicholas W. Richardson, P.C., were awarded to four area high school students. Applicants highlighted one issue facing today’s society and outlined a possible solution.

Congrats to the winners listed below, along with the issue highlighted:

Jessica D’Souza, Schaumburg High School, Corruption in the American Patent System
Evan Johnson, Central High School, Racial Profiling by Police Officers
Josh Seidman, Fremd High School, Minimum Wage
Karolina Skarzynska, Schaumburg High School, Private Prisons.

Each $250 scholarship helps these high school seniors in Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs with expenses related to their education, including college, nursing, business, trade, technical training and other similar programs, and can be used for any related expense.

“I’m thrilled to continue giving back to the communities that have helped me grow my business and make a small dent in the long list of expenses related to earning their degrees,” says Attorney Nicholas W. Richardson, who was named a 2016 Rising Stars, an honor given to only 2.5 percent of Illinois lawyers. “Because of the well-written essays I received last year, I opted to give four scholarships of the same amount; however, selecting only four was equally hard this year.”

Typically, the honor of Rising Stars is associated with larger firms, so to be nominated two years running, Attorney Richardson appreciates this honor and the decade-plus of opportunities to help families in Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs.

“During the last 12 years, I’ve helped hundreds of families with a wide variety of issues, and while honors like Rising Stars validate my work, I’m beyond grateful for the community’s support, as I continue growing my business,” adds Attorney Richardson. “I’m happy to continue my scholarship program for the third year and the ability to support tomorrow’s leaders through education. And from the number of essays my office receives annually, area families appreciate the program.”
