Farmington, NY (PRWEB) November 03, 2015

Pioneer Millworks’ team of leading wood experts will travel to Washington, D.C. for the 2015 Greenbuild Expo, the premier sustainable building annual event. They’ll join more than 600 suppliers and top manufacturers of the latest green building equipment, products, services, and technology available in today’s market. While renewing their commitment to eco-friendly practices, they will share new products, including naturally textured reclaimed Hemlock and custom finishes.

Their wood experts will be readily available for meetings, lunch and learns, local project walk-throughs, and conversation. “Our team is excited to connect with clients, new and known. During the Expo, we’ll reinvigorate our commitment to sustainability and reconnect with other like-minded, eco-conscious folks,” said Jennifer Young, General Manager of Pioneer Millworks.

“We’re always looking for new sources of reclaimed wood and we’re excited to share what we’ve found at Greenbuild. We’ll also showcase bright finishes with heavy textures and cool patterns that are leading the way in the design world,” explains Jered Slusser, East Coast reclaimed wood expert at Pioneer Millworks.

Pioneer Millworks’ updated exhibit showcases a wide variety of the reclaimed wood species and finishes they offer. New for Greenbuild will be painted Mushroom Boards. Housing mushrooms is no small task as this reclaimed Hemlock product shows. The weathered face has a heavily textured washboard-like surface achieved from years of living with the moist and acid-laden environment used to grow commercial mushrooms. Bright finish colors applied to the undulating texture and sound knots of each plank creates a unique appearance on wood already full of character.

This year, Greenbuild will occur at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. with the Expo running from 10am–6pm on November 18–19 and the Conference from November 18-20. Pioneer Millworks will be located at booth #1423 near the Wood Pavilion.

Pioneer Millworks is the leader in the reclaimed wood industry. To date, they’ve rescued nearly 24 million board feet of old wood from rot and landfills, giving it new life as flooring, paneling, millwork, cabinetry, and more. All wood is manufactured in a way that’s healthy for customers, employees, and the environment. Pioneer Millworks is FSC-certified and Green America approved. All of their products are LEED point eligible.
