Houston, TX (PRWEB) October 19, 2015

Houston Business Journal recently released its list of Houston's Best Places to work for 2015. SpaceMan Home & Office, an entrant in the Small Business category, was ranked number 48.

SpaceMan, a custom closet and storage company based in Houston, has been named to the list 3 times since it began applying for the award in 2012. Those previous wins came in 2012, 2013, and now 2015.

The rankings were decided by the results of an anonymous survey filled out by the employees of any Houston business that wished to participate. The questionnaire measured employees' opinions on their company's culture, amenities, benefits and worker-retention and attraction strategies. SpaceMan earned a score of 91.4, more than 5 points higher than the average score of 85.87.

The honor is seen as a profound achievement by SpaceMan’s founder and President, David Linda. “Of all the awards we have earned as a company, this is definitely the most special to me,” Linda said. “To know that we’ve built a company where people enjoy coming to work is immensely encouraging.”

Linda believes that their continued success with the Best Places to Work list is due primarily to SpaceMan's company culture. “Our core values here are treating each other with respect, focusing on solutions for problems and doing whatever it takes to make customers and coworkers happy. While these have allowed us to be successful with customers, it has also made our company a great place to work.”

SpaceMan’s placement in the Best Places to Work in Houston list is bolstered by the fact that it is an entirely Houston-based company. Its office space, manufacturing facility and showroom are all located in the same North Houston facility.

“We are a Houston company, through and through,” Linda says. “We design, build, and install everything right here in town. We want to make Houston a better place to live, both through our quality products and services, and by offering Houstonians a great place to work.”
