Resort Celebrates Accolade With Giveaway for Facebook Fans

Islands of Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico (PRWEB) October 29, 2015

Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, Baja’s first “million star” resort, revealed this month that has been recognized as Mexico’s Leading Beach Resort by the 22nd annual World Travel Awards, which is the equivalent to the Oscars of the travel industry.

The resort accepted the award at the World Travel Awards Latin America Ceremony at Teatro Colón in historic Bogotá, Colombia earlier this month, in front of an audience of hundreds of government and industry leaders, luminaries, and international print and broadcast media.

The World Travel Awards serves to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.

“To be recognized by one of tourism’s most prestigious awards program is a testament to the unique vacation experience we offer guests at Villa del Palmar in the beautiful Islands of Loreto, Mexico,” said Owen Perry, co-owner and president of Villa Group.

This year, a record more than 610,000 travel industry experts and high-end tourism consumers cast their votes. Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto was up against CUIXMALA, Rosewood Mayakobá in Riviera Maya, The Resort at Pedregal and The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, and ultimately came away with the top honor.

“We take pride in this important award granted by the World Travel Awards and look forward to continuing to enhance the vacation experience for our guests as the Mexico’s Leading Beach Resort, year after year,” said Paul Moreno, Chief Operating Officer of Villa Group.

To celebrate the award, the resort is giving its Facebook fans a chance to experience what makes Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto so special by entering to win a three-night stay at Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto. Fans can enter at, from now through December 4.

Within just four short years, the resort has grown from a hidden gem travel experience to a leading resort in its industry – offering a mix of adventure, authentic and personalized Mexican hospitality and service, breathtaking views and unrivaled opportunities for relaxation.

In addition to World Travel Award, Travel Weekly magazine recently recognized the Islands of Loreto with a 2015 Silver Magellan Award in the Adventure Destination category. The award is a nod to the resort’s robust outdoor offerings, such as stand-up paddle boarding, glass-bottom kayaking, hiking and mountain biking, and PADI-certified SCUBA diving lessons in the waters that Jacques Cousteau called the Aquarium of the World. The resort is also currently named the 16th best resort in Mexico by Trip Advisor.
