Pall Corp., a Port Washington-based maker of filtration devices and one of the largest public companies headquartered on Long Island, said Monday it would be closing its office in Ann Arbor, Mich., according to news website AnnArbor.com.
A notice filed with the state of Michigan said 55 of 71 employees would be laid off. The Michigan office manufactured lab equipment and did research and development.
The news comes on the heels of the announcement in late April that Pall would be opening a new office in Saudi Arabia. The office would provide engineering facilities and customer support for international clients.
