The Suffolk County Legislature is offering a free seminar, “Charting the Course,” for small businesses on Friday.

The business summit will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Suffolk County Community College’s Ammerman Campus, at the Babylon Student Center’s Montauk Room, at 533 College Rd. in Selden.

The seminar will explore how small businesses in Suffolk County can benefit from economic drivers and push their companies forward.

Business owners and economic stakeholders will hear from a panel of experts and attend breakout sessions for discussions with business sector leaders. At the end of the seminar, local restaurants will showcase their specialties at “A Taste of Suffolk.”

The event will be hosted by Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory, chair of the Legislature’s Economic Development Committee Legis. William Lindsay III, the Suffolk County Alliance of Chambers, and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone.
