Three New York City-based startups presented before the Long Island Angel Network Tuesday night in hopes of securing funding from local investors.
The three companies are:
Keen Home: The company, which makes green products for the home, touted its first flagship product, Keen Vent, which is a smart air vent that redirects airflow in a room for energy efficiency. The founders are seeking $750,000 in funding.
GGGrit: A startup that provides affordable and customized career coaching services, powered through a technological platform. The service is targeted to women of all ages, from the beginning of their careers to those with 15-plus years of experience. The founder is hoping to raise $750,000.
Fanlime: A new social media interface for athletes to share their favorite content and products as a way to build their brands, while at the same time allowing fans to easily buy the product or consume content. The company is raising $1.5 million.
A fourth Long Island startup, eGifter -- formerly known as GroupGifting.com -- also presented, but did not solicit any funding as the company had already met its fundraising goal before the presentation. The social gifting mobile app, based in Hauppauge, had previously raised $1 million from the Angel Network, and it was the second time it had presented.
