Developers, business owners and others seeking state help for a project must complete a new application form designed by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s administration.
A workshop on how to complete the new form will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the student union building at SUNY Old Westbury.
The application is required to access up to $1 billion in tax credits and grants that New York plans to distribute statewide in the next 12 months. The application also is needed to vie for allocations of low-cost electricity from the New York Power Authority.
Applications for the tax credits and grants are due to the Long Island office of Empire State Development Corp. by Oct. 31. Applications for power are due on Nov. 30 to the power authority.
Those unable to attend Tuesday’s workshop can find a guide to the new Consolidated Funding Application at http://nyworks.ny.gov. Empire State Development officials also are available to answer questions, a spokeswoman said Monday.
