Six technology products and services companies will pitch to a panel of investors at a forum put on by the Long Island Capital Alliance, the business development organization announced Wednesday.
Panelists for the Jan. 30 event include executives from Simon Venture Group, the venture capital arm of retail real estate company Simon Property Group, and seed stage venture capital firm Pilot Mountain Ventures.
The forum will also include a keynote presentation by Russell Artzt, co-founder of CA Technologies, who will discuss the role big data plays in the technology ecosystem.
The presenting companies include three from Long Island and three from New York City: Babylon-based Risk Business, an international risk advisory firm; Bay Shore-based Win-Win Solutions, a social media platform for business networking; Sag Harbor-based UB Sports, an online portal and social media network for athletes; Open Capital Exchange, an online lending platform for small businesses; Talent Browser, a cloud-based corporate recruiting tool; and Urgent Consult, a cloud-based referral platform for doctors.
