Roku 3

CNET RATING (Out of 5)

(4.5 stars) (outstanding)

THE GOOD The updated remote has voice search, which works very well, and a headphone jack for private listening. The Roku platform delivers more apps than competitors, constant updates and doesn’t favor one content provider over others.

THE BAD The cheaper Roku 2 is just as fast as Roku 3 and offers all of Roku’s platform advantages.

THE COST $89.99 to $99.99

BOTTOM LINE The best video streamer in its price class.

Logitech MX Master

CNET RATING (Out of 5)

(4 stars) (excellent)

THE GOOD This rechargeable wireless mouse for Macs and Windows PCs offers smooth, precise operation, lots of customization options, good ergonomics and works on almost any surface. You can connect to up to three computers using Logitech’s included Unifying Receiver USB dongle or opt for Bluetooth connectivity.

THE BAD It’s somewhat expensive, and the rechargeable battery isn’t user-replaceable (but should last several years).

THE COST $70 to $99.95

BOTTOM LINE A worthwhile purchase for power users seeking a high-performance wireless mouse.

JBL Flip 3

CNET RATING (Out of 5)

(4 stars) (excellent)

THE GOOD This highly portable Bluetooth speaker is splashproof and designed to be used horizontally or vertically. It sounds great and plays loud for its size, can act as a speakerphone and offers improved battery life at up to 10 hours. You can wirelessly link multiple Flip 3 speakers using the free JBL Connect app.

THE BAD Some distortion at higher volumes with certain tracks.

THE COST $89.95 to $99.99

BOTTOM LINE One of the best portable Bluetooth speakers available.

Wacom Creative Stylus 2

CNET RATING (Out of 5)

(4 stars) (excellent)

THE GOOD The Wacom Creative Stylus 2 is well designed, reasonably priced and comfortable to use.

THE BAD The rubber cap on the USB connector seems likely to rip off.

THE COST $61 to $79.99

BOTTOM LINE The Wacom Creative Stylus 2 is a great, well-priced pressure-sensitive stylus for iPad artistes.
