I just got to play with the Hero HD, and revolutionary camera from GoPro. It is a true 1080p camera that is about half the size of a pack of cigarettes, and promises to level the playing filed on all sorts of productions.

For $200 you get the camera that can shoot in all combinations of 1080p 30fps, 720p 30fps, 720p 60fps, as well as capturing a 6mb still image with a built in intervolometer for setting from every second up to 30 seconds.

It comes with an underwater housing that is good to 180 feet, as well as suction cup mounts and a flexible arm for maneuvering in hard to reach places. The camera shoots to an SD card, so record time will vary based on definition, FPS, and the physical size of the card.

When you’re at the booth you are exposed to a loop showing footage from the camera mounted on the hood of a race car, the helmet of a skydiver, and the front of a surf board looking back at the surfer. In all of this footage you are treated to an angle rarely seen, and exposed to images that we all want to shoot.
