Hasbro has etched itself among the toy making elite but this year will make its first New York Comic-Con appearance and they are making everyone know they are in town. The largest booth on the show floor will showcase their many highlighted brands and up and coming action figure lines.

Included in the mix are the latest Transformers sets from the film Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Also on display will be a new collectible figurine game from Hasbro's Star Wars line. No bigger than the size of a dime, these little guys can be placed into clear spheres (as well as attached to them from the outside of the ball) reminiscent to an old American Gladiators event.

GI Joe continues their tradition of action figures with GI JOE 7-pack battle sets exclusive and highly detailed 3.75 inch JOE vs COBRA favorites, while Marvel will display two different sized figures to support the 2012 release of The Avengers blockbuster film. The sculpts of Captain America and Loki both stood out to me on the larger scaled versions, as they will be a must see item in person at the convention, especially with members of the cast planned to appear there on Saturday.

From everything I saw, it was nice to see that Hasbro is raising the bar on detail-to-scale figures as well as keeping tradition with each of their brands.
