Verizon CEO wants Apple's iPhone

Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg has publicly said it wants Apple's iPhone. The remarks came after a Wall Street Journal report reported Apple is working on a version of the iPhone that would be compatible with the Verizon network.

This adds to the cat and mouse games between Verizon and Apple that started when Apple began negotiations for its original iPhone in 2007, when Verizon reportedly rejected Apple's terms of the exclusivity deal.

Currently, AT&T has exclusive rights to the iPhone in the United States.

Apple is expected to announce details of its next generation iPhone operating system on Thursday.
