Where to find the right bra

You've just spent a cool $500 on a hot little dress but still can't shake that frumpy feeling. Maybe the problem isn't the dress but what you're wearing underneath.Take a hard look in the mirror. If your "girls" are sitting low instead of riding high, chances are you -- like most women in America -- are wearing the wrong size bra. And the last time you were fitted was . . . ?Susan Nethero (dubbed the "Bra Whisperer" by TV fashion guru Carson Kressley) knows exactly how uplifting the right fit can be. The owner of the Intimacy chain of lingerie boutiques (and former guest on "Oprah") maintains that a well-fitted and, therefore, comfortable bra can instantly make a woman look taller, slimmer, more well proportioned. Nethero says women tell her that "body- image issues they've struggled with their whole lives are resolved" after a 15-minute fitting.Nethero's shops (there are two in Manhattan) aren't the only places to find your bra guru. After embarking on a Long Island quest, we found expert service at the following five stores. All are staffed by experienced bra fitters and offer a broad range of brands, styles and sizes.-- Joan Reminick
