A high-end Woodbury men’s clothing shop, Thomas Miller Menswear, is moving to downtown Huntington, where it will become part of the Marshs store.
Thomas Miller Menswear said it would move its inventory and “a core group of the store’s longtime sales associates” to the 270 Main St. location in Huntington.
Thomas Miller’s former location was at Woodbury Commons on Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury. In the photo above left, Glen Kashetsky, left, and his son Jake, shop for suits in 2007.
The Miller’s inventory includes Ermenegildo Zegna, Coppley, Ferragamo, and Agave collections; and selections from Brunello Cucinelli, Canali, Hugo Boss, Loro Piana, Eton, Etro, Gucci, Prada, and Robert Graham.
Marshs is part of The Mitchell Family of Stores that includes several other upscale clothing stores including Wilkes Bashford, of San Francisco and Palo Alto, Calif.; and two Connecticut stores, Mitchells of Westport and Richards of Greenwich.
The Mitchells and the Thomas Miller team will celebrate their new partnership at Marshs on June 3 with a cocktail party from 6 to 8 p.m.
Jack Mitchell, chief executive of the Mitchell stores, said, “As with all of our establishments, Thomas Miller represents a decades-long commitment to family ownership, personalized service, the finest designer labels, and multi-generational relationships with customers based on years of trust.”
Thomas Miller said in the news release, “By merging with The Mitchell Family of Stores we are not only assuring that our many loyal customers will continue to enjoy those values to the highest degree, but we are uniting with very good friends.”
Marshs will honor all existing gift certificates, store credits, and house charge accounts from Thomas Miller’s customers.
