It's almost that time of year. Here, LIers share the worst gifts they ever received. Credit: Handout
More, less or the same?
Readers will be looking for data during the next two weeks on how the holiday shopping season went. In this blog’s own non-scientific survey in the days leading up to Christmas, it looks like a little bit less.
Thirty-two respondents, or 37 percent, said they expected to spend somewhat or a lot less than last year, while 31 percent said they expected to spend about the same and another 31 percent said they expected to spend a lot or somewhat more than last year. Here are the breakdowns
A lot more than last year: 14 (16%)
Somewhat more than last year: 13 (15%)
About the same as last year: 27 (31%)
Somewhat less than last year: 18 (21%)
A lot less than last year: 14 (16%)
