Executives from Melville-based Verint Systems Inc. were to ring in the start of the trading day Tuesday at the Nasdaq Stock Market.
Verint chief executive Dan Bodner was be at the stock exchange to ring the opening bell at 9:30 a.m. to mark Verint's acquisition of its former majority owner Comverse Technologies Inc.
Verint, which works to analyze large amounts of information gathered from surveillance data to determine security risks, announced the acquisition of Comverse in August for 27.5 million Verint shares. Comverse, which spun off its software technology business before the acquisition, was primarily a holding company at the time of the purchase.
The ringing of the bell was to be broadcast on financial news stations CNBC and Bloomberg TV.
