Homeowners having trouble paying their Wells Fargo mortgage bills may attend a workshop hosted by the lender on July 17 and 18 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 1255 Hempstead Tpke. in Uniondale.
Wells Fargo representatives will be available to confidentially discuss homeowners’ questions and concerns. Homeowners can also find out whether they’re eligible for a loan modification under the federal Home Affordable Modification Program, and learn about options that might help avoid foreclosure. Wells Fargo has notified 40,000 of its Long Island-area customers about the event, and more than 100 mortgage specialists will be available, according to the lender.
Parking will be free. Walk-ins are welcome but registration by July 15 is recommended. For more information or to register, call 800-405-8067 or visit Wells Fargo’s website.
The workshop had previously been scheduled to take place at the Long Island Marriott and Convention Center, also in Uniondale, according to an earlier announcement.
Those who cannot attend the event at the Coliseum may attend similar workshops on July 31 and Aug. 1 at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, 333 Adams St. in Brooklyn, or on Aug. 8 and 9 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center at 355 Plaza Dr. in Secaucus, N.J. Homeowners may also call 800-678-7986 for more information.
