Audi hasn't planned anything big for the the New York Auto Show, with just its basic models on the floor, but fortunately for Audi fans the Audi R8 forms part of those "basic" models.
Audi recently announced a V10 version of its super car, upping the ante on what already was an impressive sleek beast. The car is is equipped with a 10-cylinder 525 hp engine, is encased in an all-aluminium light-weight construction and is capable of going from 0 to 62mph in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 192 mph.
In contrast, the "tamed" R8's V8 engine produces 420 hp, races to 60 mph in 60 seconds and has a top speed of 187 mph.
So what will the bump in specs cost you? A cool $30k, or from $114,000 to $144,000.
Physically, there are only subtle differences between the two R8 models. The V10 has larger side scoops, for more air-intake. They are also painted black, are larger, and jut out more than the original. The V10 is also slightly lower and flares that run along the wheelbase. Check out the photos to see if you can see the difference between the models.
