Honda, Toyota dominate American-Made Index

Foreign automakers hold seven of 10 spots on the Cars.com American-Made Index. Despite the dominance of Honda and Toyota, the Ford F-150 for the second consecutive year holds the top spot as the vehicle made in America with the highest percentage of domestically made parts.

According to Cars.com, only 10 models were eligible for this year's list, the fewest in the nine-year history of the study. In order to qualify for consideration, a model must have a domestic parts content that is 75 percent or higher. Three model years ago, 30 cars met the 75 percent threshold.
