International Motorcycle Show roars through Javits Center

What: New York International Motorcycle Show

Where: Jacob Javits Convention Center

Dates: This weekend only; Jan. 20 through Jan. 22

Cost: $18 adults and $8 for children 6-11. Children 5 and under are admitted free. On Family Day, Sunday, all children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.

The annual International Motorycle Show is making a pit stop at Manhattan's Jacob Javits Center this weekend, where it will give motorcycle enthusiasts a chance to get an up-close look at more than 600 street bikes, dirt bikes, scooters, cruisers and custom motorcycles.

Some of the manufacturers in the show include Aprilia, Beta, BMW, BRP, Darwin, Ducati, Erik Buell Racing, Gas Gas, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Husqvarna, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Moto Guzzi, MV Agusta, Norton, Star, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory, Yamaha and Zero Motorcycles, as well as other companies showing off the latest aftermarket parts and accessories.

New York motorcycle fans will get the first look at several bikes making world and North American debuts at the show including the latest from BMW, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Husqvarna, Triumph, Victory, Yamaha and Zero Motorcycles.

Other highlights include:

 --- Paul Jr., star of Discovery Channel’s “Senior vs. Junior American Chopper" – Paul Jr. is scheduled to sign autographs and greet fans among several of his custom-designed bikes at the Paul Jr. Designs display on Friday, Jan. 20, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Sat., Jan. 21, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

--- The Smage Bros Stunt Show – Made famous by their popularity on a nationally televised talent competition this past summer, Wisconsin brothers Pat and Phil Smage will take motorcycle trials stunt riding to the next level with a new show that will make eyes pop and jaws drop. The heart-pounding stunt show will show the brothers performing wheelies, aerial acrobatics, stoppies and jumps while flying over trailers, ladders and many more obstacles. Stunt show hours are: Friday, at 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

--- Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show – Returning to the series for the second year, the world’s largest motorcycle builder competition will showcase elite-level custom motorcycles competing for a piece of a $90,000 cash purse prize and a chance to compete in the United States Championship, at the Daytona Beach Motorcycle Show, in March.
