The Range Rover Evoque Convertible Concept from Land Rover made its North American debut at the New York Auto Show. The vehicle is based on the coupe version of the Range Rover Evoque compact SUV. The concept seats four and features a power-retractable soft-top and a rollover protection system.

In keeping with Land Rover’s luxurious sporting style, the interior is in Lunar and Ivory with leather seats. The exterior is finished in a new metallic Causeway Grey paint.

Land Rover says "the new convertible body style has been achieved with minimal changes to weight and torsional rigidity." The British automaker says the convertible is just as off-road ready as its counterparts, thanks to its four-wheel-drive hardware, including the Terrain Response system and surround-view camera.

No word on whether the Evoque Convertible will go into production.
