The Green Bay Packer's Super Bowl win over the Pittsburgh Steelers was watched by an average of 111 million people -- making it the most watched TV show in American history and for the automakers, a lot of potential new car buyers.
The runaway hit this year was Volkswagen's ad for the 2012 Passat. The commercial shows a boy, dressed like Darth Vader, trying to use The Force on the family dog, household items, and his dad's shiny new Passat. The video raked up more than 16 million hits by yesterday afternoon.
