Dr. Thomas G. Zimmerman has been elected to the board of directors of the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society in Manhattan. The Massapequa resident is director of osteopathic medical education at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside. He is also founder of e-Med Consultants, a health information technology consulting firm.

HEALTH CAREDr. Tochi Iroku-Malize has been named chair of the newly created department of family medicine at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System in Great Neck. Dr. Malize was most recently chief resident, director of the hospitalist program and director of the family medicine residence program at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, part of North Shore-LIJ's system. She lives in Bellport.
Patricia E. Daye has been named vice president of ambulatory services at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn. She will oversee the physician practices that join the hospital and supervise St. Francis satellite facilities in Greenvale, West Islip, and a soon-to-open facility in Hicksville. The Dix Hills resident was executive director at the Center of Advanced Medicine at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System in Lake Success.
NONPROFITCraig Erlich has been named vice president of corporate development at Easter Seals New York, a charitable organization that provides services to individuals with special needs. He was a regional manager for CVS Caremark in East Northport and has served as board chairman for the Easter Seals Long Island region. He lives in East Setauket.
