, of Port Washington, was named to the board of directors of the Washington, D.C.-based National Health Council, an advocate for people with chronic diseases and disabilities. She has served as president and chief executive of the National Marfan Foundation since 1994.

Rick Lazio has joined alliantgroup, a Houston-based tax specialty services provider, as director and will work from its Manhattan location. Lazio, a former congressman from the Second District on Long Island, most recently held managing director and executive vice president roles at JPMorgan Chase in Manhattan. He lives in Brightwaters.

, of Glen Cove, has joined Rivkin Radler as an associate in the insurance coverage and litigation practice group. He joins the Uniondale firm after working in a similar capacity at Clausen Miller in Manhattan.

Carmine Russo
, of West Islip, has been promoted from executive vice president to president of JAKKS Pacific, International Division. Malibu, Calif.-based JAKKS Pacific designs and markets toys and consumer products. Russo will work from a Manhattan location.
