Verna Kay of Smithtown has joined ExcelAire, a private jet charter and aircraft management company in Ronkonkoma, as vice president of marketing and administration. She directed human resources at CLEAR, the registered airport traveler program, in Manhattan.

HEALTH CARE

Susan Grimm of Rockville Centre has been promoted from coordinator of volunteers and grants to director of volunteer services at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. She will also oversee the hospital gift shop and continue as interim co-director of pastoral care.

Ophthalmologists Dr. Dennis Kesden and Dr. Sherry Kesden of Dix Hills, a husband and wife team who were in private eye-care practice together in Massapequa since 1981, have been hired by Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island, eye care specialists and surgeons with 10 Long Island offices. They have joined the staff in the Massapequa location.

Dr. Susan H. Lee has joined Winthrop-University Hospital Breast Health Center in Mineola as a breast surgeon. She previously was a member of the surgical staff at The Breast Center at New York Hospital in Queens and resides in Southold and Manhattan.

Randi Pincus of East Meadow has been promoted to director of marketing at Integrated Medical Professionals in Melville. She previously served as marketing manager.

MARKETING

Communication Strategy Group in Smithtown has announced two new hires.

Lisa Hazen of Shirley joins as account manager. She previously was principal of Suvara Airbrush Skin Solutions in Northport.

Valerie Zeman of Northport joins as administrative marketing assistant. She previously was coordinator of administration and office management at National Urban Alliance in Syosset.

LAW

Daniel F. Fisher has joined Mayer Brown in Manhattan as an associate in the firm's litigation and dispute resolution practice group. He is a recent graduate of St. John's University School of Law, previously served as a legal intern at Washton & Gitto in Huntington and resides in Southampton.

ASSOCIATIONS

North Shore-LIJ Health System reports three of its physicians have been named to National Quality Forum steering committees.

Dr. Mark Jarrett has been named to the musculoskeletal and surgery steering committees. He is senior vice president and chief quality officer of the health system, a rheumatologist and is a resident of Staten Island.

Dr. Tracy Breen of Pelham has been named to the endocrine steering committee. She is chief of endocrinology and director of diabetes care for the health system.

Dr. Jacqueline Moline has been named to the health and well-being steering committee. She is chairwoman of the health system's department of population health and resides in Manhattan.
