Jay Fiedler has been named director of the new Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps. He will work in Oceanside during the winter implementing a coaching program to be used at the camp, located in upstate Sullivan County, in the spring. The Fiedler family has owned Brookwood Camps since 1986. Jay Fiedler was an NFL quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, the Jets and other teams and lives in Oceanside.

Jim Murry has been named chief information officer of Stony Brook Medicine. The Setauket resident previously served as associate dean of information technology and informatics at the University of California-Irvine (UCI) School of Medicine and chief information officer of UCI Medical Center.
