REAL ESTATE

Greg Batista, has joined Sabre Real Estate Group in Garden City as a director. The Long Beach resident was previously a vice president at Pliskin Realty & Development in Carle Place.

Patrick McLaughlin has been promoted to vice president, brand relations, at Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate and will work from the Bridgehampton office. He was promoted from director of sales at the Sag Harbor office and lives in East Hampton.

RETAIL

Massimo Caradonna has been promoted to general manager of the Hauppauge P.C. Richard & Son. He most recently served as assistant manager of the Patchogue location and lives in East Yaphank.

LAW

Emanuel R. Gold has joined Jaspan Schlesinger as a partner in the firm's litigation practice group. He will concentrate his practice in commercial litigation, Surrogate's Courts litigation and administrative law. The Forest Hills resident was in his own law practice before joining the Garden City firm.

Michael A. Scotto has joined Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein in an of counsel capacity in the criminal defense group. The Port Washington resident joins the Garden City and Manhattan operations after serving as chief of the rackets bureau and deputy chief of the investigation division of the New York County District Attorney's Office in Manhattan.

BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS

Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth announced the appointment of three new members to its board of directors. George Santiago Jr. is president of Briarcliffe College in Bethpage, which is also the community in which he lives. Trent Preszler is the chief executive at Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue and lives in Brooklyn. Frank Ullman, of Port Washington, is a real estate investor and owner of FCU Holdings, also in Port Washington. All three members will serve on the development committee.

ELECTRONICS

Behlman Electronics announced changes in leadership. Ronald Storm has been promoted to president. The Smithtown resident previously served as vice president of sales and marketing and has been with the company since 1990. Karl Schmidt of Commack has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer. He was promoted from vice president of operations. The Hauppauge company provides power products for military and industrial applications and is a subsidiary of Orbit International.

HEALTH CARE

Sheila Leone has been appointed director of patient access at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. She held a similar position at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre for the past six years and lives in Malverne.
