James Kinney, of North Bellmore, has been appointed to Literacy Nassau's board of directors. He is a partner at accounting firm WeiserMazars and works in Lake Success.

Patricia Seal has been elected president of the Long Island Village Clerks and Treasurers Association. Seal is village clerk of Patchogue, the community in which she lives.

REAL ESTATE

Lynda Baker Realty has announced three new hires at its Hicksville office.

Simran Bajaj has joined as a licensed associate broker. The Plainview resident previously held a similar position at New Age Properties in Hicksville.

Renu Hira, of Jericho, is a newly licensed real estate salesperson and earned her license at the Long Island Board of Realtors in Woodbury.

Valentina Shmerlis, of Bethpage, has joined as a licensed real estate salesperson. She previously held a similar position at Century 21 Prevete in Levittown.
