David M. Carter has been elected to serve on the Farmingdale College Foundation board of directors for a three-year term. The Huntington resident is a partner with Carter, DeLuca, Farrell & Schmidt, a law firm located in Melville.

Dr. Samuel L. Stanley Jr. has been appointed chair of the National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity. The Old Field resident is the president of Stony Brook University.

FINANCE

Anthony D'Agostino has joined the accounting firm Grassi & Co., as director in the business advisory practice and will work in the Jericho office. The Plainview resident was previously a senior audit manager at Sauvigne & Co. in Manhattan.

REAL ESTATE

Ronald Schiffman has joined Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty in the Syosset/Muttontown office as a salesperson. The Merrick resident was formerly an attorney with Law Offices of Ronald M. Schiffman in Garden City.
