Christopher Ferrara has joined Bay Shore-based Long Island

Karl Reamer has joined the board of directors at the Long Island Crisis Center. The Patchogue resident is president of Act 1 Entertainment. 

Mike Bailis has been appointed vice chairman of the Long Island Solar Energy Industries Association in Bohemia. He is co-founder and vice president of SUNation Solar Systems in Oakdale and is a Holbrook resident. 

Margaret Anderson has been named principal of the East Northport-based Long Island Lutheran Day School of St. Paul's, formerly known as St. Paul's Lutheran School. The Northport resident was the principal at LuHi Middle School in Brookville.

 Cristina Leske, professor of preventive medicine and ophthalmology at Stony Brook University Medical Center, has been named emeritus professor after 30 years of service. The Old Field resident is renowned for her epidemiologic studies on eye diseases.

Janet Jones has joined Synergy Wealth Strategies of Smithtown as director of nonprofit strategies. The Center Moriches resident was development director of the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center.

Joseph P. Spinola has joined the Carle Place firm Helwig, Henderson & Ryan as partner. The East Meadow resident was a justice of the New York State Supreme Court. 

Adam L. Browser has been named of counsel at the Uniondale firm Ruskin Moscou Faltischek. The Dix Hills resident was an associate at the firm.

Karl E. Willers has been appointed director of theNassau County Museum of Art. The Glen Head resident was director of the Newport Art Museum in Rhode Island. Paul Bonheim, a radiologist who lives in Upper Brookville, and Dr. Harvey Manes, an orthopedic surgeon who lives in Old Westbury, have been elected to the museum's board of trustees.

Paul Ruchames has been named executive director at the Backstretch Employee Service Team, a provider of health and human services to workers in the barn areas of the thoroughbred racetracks at Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga. The Plainview resident is also director of outpatient services and deputy director for the division of substance abuse at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in the Bronx.

Robert Shepard has been named chief medical officer at Cornerstone Pharmaceuticals of Stony Brook. The Manhattan resident was consulting chief medical officer for Callisto Pharmaceuticals in Manhattan.

Jonathan Schwartz of Dix Hills has been named senior consultant at Los Angeles-based Retail Smart Guys, a consulting firm specializing in inventory and open-to-buy planning for independent retailers. He was chief information officer at Century 21 Department Stores.
