Barbara Garii, of Queens, has been appointed dean of College of Education, Information and Technology at LIU Post in Brookville. She was the associate dean of the School of Education at SUNY Oswego.

MARKETING

The Austin & Williams advertising and marketing agency in Hauppauge has announced six new hires and five promotions.

Shamola Clarke, of Queens, joins as a user-experience analyst and Web developer. She was freelance Web developer.

Jennifer Forgét, of Islip, joins as a group account director. She was founder and president of Agency 4J, Inc. in Islip.

Tina Choy, of Babylon, joins as a copy editor. She previously worked as content editor at the American Institute of Physics in Melville.

Louis Frangella, of Lindenhurst, joins as associate account executive. He was a coordinator of partnership marketing for the New York Islanders in Uniondale.

Kenneth Frey, of East Islip, joins as director of digital development. He served as adjunct professor at Dowling College in Oakdale.

Michael Legemah, of Hempstead, joins as a Web developer. He previously held a similar position at Web 4 Purpose in Elmont.

Alex Becker, of Commack, has been promoted to digital media strategist. He was a search marketing strategist.

Andrew Catalano, of Rocky Point, has been promoted to chief digital officer. He was director of digital strategy.

Christine Medina, of Freeport, has been promoted to digital project manager. She was a digital marketing strategist.

Helen O'Rourke, of Centereach, has been promoted to digital media coordinator. She was digital project manager.

Elizabeth Pontillo, of Oyster Bay, has been promoted to search and social media strategist. She was a copy editor.

HEALTH CARE

Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group has hired four doctors who will work in its specialty group practices in either Lynbrook, Woodbury, Bohemia, Cedarhurst, Rockville Centre or Massapequa.

Dr. Charles Milchteim, of Glen Cove, joins as an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon. He was with Andrews Research & Education Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

Dr. Joshua Mitgang, of Woodmere, joins as an orthopedic hand and upper extremities surgeon. He was with NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan.

Dr. Andrew Tarleton, of Manhattan, joins as an orthopedic spinal surgeon. He was formerly with the University of California in San Francisco.

Dr. Daniel Woods, of Long Island City, joins as an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon. He was with The Rothman Institute in Philadelphia.
