Spinning the tunes on the radio isn't what it used to be. With the radio industry struggling, disc jockey was ranked as the sixth-worst job, with a median salary of just $30,830 and a minus-11 percent growth outlook, according to CareerCast.com.
5. Pest-control worker
Dealing with pests all day isn't fun, and being a pest control worker is the fifth-worst job according to CareerCast.com, with an annual median salary of $33,040 and a minus-1 percent growth outlook.
4. Enlisted military
Being part of the enlisted military personnel can be dangerous work, and is the fourth-worst job to have according to CareerCast.com, with an annual median salary of $27,936 and zero projected growth.
Being a logger was listed as CareerBuilder.com's third worst-job, with an annual median salary of $37,590 and a growth outlook of minus-4 percent, thanks in part to a declining demand for paper products.
While being on television seems like a good deal, low pay and few job openings make broadcaster CareerCast.com's second-worst job to have. It has an annual median salary of $38,870 and a minus-9 percent growth outlook.
