Actor David Hyde Pierce, who made his name on "Frasier" and Broadway, and husband Brian Hargrove, have settled down in Amagansett.
The couple purchased a beachfront home in the dunes there in May for $6.3 million, according to the Long Island Real Estate Report.
Listing information shows that the 4,000-square-foot, three-bedroom, four-bath cedar house sits on .67 acres and was built in 1973. There’s also 110 feet of beachfront and an oceanside sunbathing deck.
Listing agent Bonny Aarons of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate tells Real LI, “It’s a simple little beach house, and it sold quickly.”
The property went on the market March 1 for $6.595 million, according to real estate records.
Barbara Weinman and Jan Robinson of Town and Country Real Estate represented the buyers.
Pierce will not be the first actor to live in the home. The beach house once belonged to actress Julie Garfield, daughter of Hollywood legend John Garfield, Aarons says.
Pierce’s “Frasier” castmate Kelsey Grammer also owns property in the Hamptons. Grammer, who dabbles heavily in real estate, has had his Bridgehampton mansion on and off the market for several years.
Pierce will present at the June 13 Tony Awards, where he will be receiving an honor for his work raising awareness of Alzheimer's disease. His next theater project "La Bete" opens this fall on Broadway.
