What is famed chef and Food Network host Bobby Flay's Amagansett home like? According to a recent issue of Hamptons magazine, it stands out by having not one, but two kitchens: an outdoor and indoor. It makes sense for Flay, the foodie that he is.
Flay and his wife, Stephanie March of NBC’s "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit," consider the place to be their dream home. Designed by East Hampton architect Larry Kane, it is tucked away in the woods, adding both privacy and shield from the sun. Flay tells the magazine, “I’m not a sun god, I can tell you that much. My skin is as white as can be.”
And the couple says they hope their home will be Gold LEED-certified as a green home, reports the magazine.
Their indoor kitchen boasts Viking appliances, eight burners, a salamander and deep fryer. Flay says it’s like a “little French café.” Walk through the doors and the outdoor kitchen awaits. It has a brick pizza oven, charcoal grill, Viking gas grill, four burners and refrigerator, reports the magazine.
Flay hosts ‘Throwdown! with Bobby Flay’ and is the owner and executive chef of 11 establishments, including Mesa Grill in Las Vegas, New York and Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas. This winter, he will act as judge, investor and mentor on NBC’s new reality competition, ‘America’s Next Great Restaurant."
Flay began building the home last year on the 2.89-acre property, which he purchased for $1.485 million.
