Three original structures built in the late 19th century on a .33-acre lot in Cold Spring Harbor are on the market for $649,999.
There is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage, a storage building of about 2,700 square feet and a separate garage.
“The property is set back between two houses, and it is so indicative of the unique nature of the Cold Spring Harbor area -- it is not a cookie cutter house by any means,” says Risa Ziegler of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, who is listing the property with Jyll Kata.
In the late 1800s, a local man named C.O. Requa used the large storage structure on the property to store the coffee and tea he sold to build a fortune. “Hopefully someone down the line will do something to restore it to its original beauty,” says Ziegler.
