Here’s a chance to recoup some money if you put on a new roof using the Duration Series Designer Colors Collection of shingles from the Owens Cornings company. The “That’s My Roof!” contest invites homeowners to submit before and after photos through Oct. 15 at www.thatsmyroof.com. Since June there has been a monthly winner. At the end of the contest, one of the five monthly winners will receive the grand prize, which is a refund for the cost of their new roof, up to $10,000.

Do you or a friend have a living space that resembles any part of the "Brady Bunch" era? If so, you’re in luck. True Value Hardware is intervening. The company is inviting DIYers to remedy hideous, dated designs by entering the “Design SOS: Friends to the Rescue” contest. You and your friend can each win a $2,500 to use at a local True Value store. Entries are accepted until Oct. 7. Visit StartRightStartHere.com for details.

Is your backyard a complete wreck? Enter the “Battle Your Blah Backyard” contest by Nov. 1. The winner will win a $15,000 makeover by Justin Cave, host of HGTV’s "Ground Breakers," and the online retailer CSN Stores’ Room Rescue Crew.  For more information, click here.

Next time you’re on Facebook, check out the Take Command of Your Space Facebook Contest. This one is for anyone who has recently decorated using Command Brand Products from 3M. Requirements include writing 100 words or less and providing a tip about how you use Command products as well as uploading a picture or two.
A new winner is chosen every week through Dec. 25. The prize? $500, plus a Flip video camera and a prize pack of Command products. Click here for more information.
