Want spectacular views of Oyster Bay Harbor and more? Check out this six-acre waterfront Centre Island estate on the market for $8.35 million, down from its original asking price of $11 million. Owned by the Mayrock family, who were co-owners of the Fortunoff retail stores, the home boasts almost 8,000 square feet of living space, including five bedrooms, six bathrooms and two half-bathrooms and even a guest cottage by the pool. “This home is one of my favorites – a must see,” says listing agent Barbara Candee of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty.

It is one of several Gold Coast estates that have recently come on the market.

“The past year has proven to be an exciting time for buyers looking to own a piece of North Shore’s rich history,” says Paul Mateyunas, a Daniel Gale agent who wrote the book “North Shore Long Island: Country Houses 1890-1950,” adding, “It is a rare opportunity, with properties like these often staying in families for years.

In Upper Brookville, this 1938 14-room home on 7.88 acres comes with a separate three-bedroom cottage. Valerie Stone of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate is handling the sale of the house, which is on the market for $6.9 million.

The owners of this Sands Point modern-stye 18-room home on 8.9 acres are asking $10.9 million. The house was built in 1984 and offers panoramic water views. It is listed with Maria Rovegno of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate.

Listed for $3.995 million with Regina Rogers of Laffey Associates Fine Homes and Estates, this 1927 eleven-room Tudor in Kings Point is on a 1.1-acre lot with winter water views of Manhasset Bay.

This 1960s farm ranch on two acres in Lattingtown, listed with Glenna Jones of Piping Rock Associates for $1.295 million, has a first-floor master suite with a private balcony.

A 20-room 1920s French Norman house on almost three acres in Muttontown features many original details intact, including a separate teahouse. It’s the first time on the market in 40 years. It is listed for $3,498,750 with Paul Mateyunas of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty.

On the market for $3.295 million, this Old Brookville brick Georgian Colonial was built in 1935 on five acres with two separate guest cottages. The listing agent is Diane Stigliano of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty.
