This six-bedroom Postmodern is “bright, tranquil and private,” says listing agent Jenny Shibetti of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. The home’s interior is illuminated by large windows and multiple skylights, Shibetti says, offering glimpses of the 2.16-acre wooded property and its  trees.

The 1965 home offers 4 1⁄2 baths and an eat-in kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The first floor features high ceilings, Shibetti says, with a formal dining room, formal living room with a fireplace and a large guest room. On the second floor, there’s a master suite with a Jacuzzi, three additional bedrooms, a den and library.

The home has hardwood floors and a mudroom, and there’s a wine cellar and cedar closets in the finished basement. The cul-de-sac lot features a heated pool, deck and patio, sprinkler system and three-car garage. Shibetti says the home comes with access to a private beach and beach house.

Port Jefferson Station, 15 Ciliotta Lane, $599,900

The owners of this five-bedroom Postmodern house had it custom built  to include two master suites, says listing agent Lisa Molinelli of Bel Breeze Real Estate. The 2012 home offers four bathrooms and an eat-in kitchen, Molinelli says, with a large pantry, granite countertops and energy efficient, stainless steel appliances.

The 2,500-square-foot house has a formal dining room, living room and den with a fireplace, and features oak flooring with a decorative inlaid medallion in the entryway. Other amenities include French doors, custom window treatments, custom closets and a central vacuum system.

There’s a full, finished basement with an outside entrance and its own ductless heating and air conditioning system. Molinelli says there’s impressive custom stonework on the walkways, driveway and patio of the 100-by-160-foot property, which also offers a front porch, fully fenced yard, shed and sprinkler system.

This Postmodern was designed with the topography of the lot in mind, says listing agent Denise Voelker of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. The house is set back from the road and built into the property, with a landscape featuring natural boulders and seasonal specimen plantings so the yard is “constantly in bloom.”

Voelker says the home’s open floor plan is a standout feature for prospective buyers, with a layout that can be tailored to fit an owner’s needs. Beams in the cathedral ceilings create an urban look, Voelker says, that is brightened by skylights and warmed by features such as hardwood floors.

The wood and granite kitchen has a center island, stainless appliances and a row of hanging glass-door cabinets that allow a view of the great room, which is heated by a wood-burning stove fireplace.

The 1995 home has four bedrooms and 3 1⁄2 baths, including a rounded master suite that Voelker says offers “views from all angles” and a tiled master bath with double sinks, walk-in shower and radiant-heat floor.

There’s a three-season sunroom and finished lower level with a bar, gym, den and outside entrance to the yard. The 1.35-acre property features a lap pool with a waterfall and bluestone patio, and is equipped with in-ground sprinklers.
