Why it's for sale: Jamie, 34, a skin care specialist with two kids under 4 years old, says they've outgrown the house and that the family will move to another place on the North Shore.

Jamie bought her house in 2008 from someone who worked at the Bailey Arboretum in Lattingtown and knew a lot about landscaping (he put in the attractive stone wall in the front yard). Jamie talks about the home and property:

"I love the backyard. When I first saw the home, I was struck by the yard. It was lush, green and fully landscaped. We have two dogs, and the backyard is fenced in. I added a large brick patio for entertaining outside . . . The house is small and quaint and has a nice cottage feel . . . We're only a block from the water . . . There are hardwood floors throughout the house . . . I had all new windows installed and new siding done in 2009 and also installed a new heating system ... I spend most of my time in the kitchen feeding my family and entertaining friends . . . I have two big bay windows -- one is in the living room and other in the dining room, so I can see the sun set year round. And I have a winter water view . . . The home originally had four bedrooms, but I took a wall down between two rooms and made a walk-in closet off the master bedroom . . . Morgan Park is a block away and the kids can swim and play in the park. Glen Cove offers live music during the summertime."
