Active-duty military and emergency first responders are eligible for a new incentive program at Beechwood Homes’ 94-home Country Pointe Estates community in Ridge.

Currently employed and active-duty military personnel, police officers, firefighters and EMTs are eligible for the program, in which the Jericho-based builder will halve its minimum 10-percent down payment for the first three eligible buyers and pay their property taxes for the first year, says Beechwood principal Steven Dubb.

“I’d be happy to have people of that ilk and that nature as members of our community — I’d be thrilled,” Dubb says. “So I thought, ‘What could I do to help people out, to show some appreciation?’ ”

Six available home styles range in size from 2,000 to 3,300 square feet, and have three to five bedrooms and 2.5 to 4.5 bathrooms. Prices range from $444,999 to about $575,000 in the community, which is next to a 46-acre wooded preserve.

Homes include a choice of first- or second-floor master suites, volume ceilings, wood floors, kitchens with designer wood cabinets and granite countertops and high-end finishes.

“We tried to design a couple of different products that would appeal to young families and to empty nesters,” Dubb says.

All six designs include open floor plans, attached two-car garages, full basements and energy-efficient construction. The Hawthorne and Arlington designs have front porches.

The offer is available through Sept. 30.
