An infinity pool on the Great South Bay, a private marina and a library decorated with hand-carved trim are just a few of the amenities featured in an Islip home on the market for $7 million.
The 11,000-square-foot house has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a half-bath, and is on 11.5 acres with views south, east and west of the Great South Bay.
The house was built in 1997, says David Sanders of Ramsay Realtors, co-listing agent with Rick Ramsay.
The moldings have 24-carat gold leaf, and the library was custom-built on site by European craftsmen.
"It's hand-carved cherry, and it has a hand-carved spiral cherry staircase up to an office suite," Sanders says. "There are also hand-carved lions under the mantels in the library."
Outside, there's an infinity pool with a round kiddie pool and a Jacuzzi, as well as 800 feet of bulkhead and a private marina.
