A Southampton condo that was owned by the late famed ballerina Karin von Aroldingen is on the market. The three-bedroom end unit at the Hampton Club has been listed for $1.15 million.
Aroldingen, a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, who was considered a muse of choreographer George Balanchine, died in January at the age of 76. She had downsized to the condo from a house in Southampton Village a few years ago, says listing agent James Peyton of The Corcoran Group.
In addition to dancing, Aroldingen was also an artist.
The two-story unit features an open floor plan, including a living room with a vaulted ceiling and wood-burning fireplace, and a kitchen with a breakfast bar. It has a screened-in porch that has been converted to formal dining area with sliding doors to the backyard patio.
