Vacant houses auction: See some of the homes up for bid

In coordination with Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Office of Storm Recovery and the NY Rising Housing Recovery Program, Paramount Realty USA has 150 Long Island properties ready for auction from May 19 to May 20. The properties include 81 Nassau homes and 69 Suffolk properties, all damaged by superstorm Sandy and other storms that hit the Island. According to Paramount, the pre-storm values of the homes were as high as $1.2 million, with the minimum bids on some of the homes as low as $28,000.

Although most of these homes will be purchased with the intention of demolition or rebuilding, take a peek inside some of the properties damaged by the storm and up for auction.
