A four-bedroom, three-bathroom large log cabin in Miller Place is on the market for $499,000.
It is owned by a contractor who did many renovations to make it more than a basic log cabin, says Tor Johnson of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the listing agent for the property.
The house was built in 1974 on nearly 1½ acres, and the owner finished the interior, leaving exposed log construction and hardwood floors throughout.
Outdoors, the owner left nothing untouched.
“The amount of money they spent shows,” Johnson says.
An in-ground swimming pool was added four years ago, and there’s a hot tub as well. A built-in fireplace is nestled into the outdoor space’s retaining walls to provide heat in cold weather.
